Senior Medical Education Writer.
Senior Medical Education Writer
Spend 100% of your day doing what your job says on the tin… being a Medical Writer
In other words you’ll spend your time creating a narrative for digital. broadcast, print, and live Medical Education projects From Slide Decks to Patient Communications, from Sales Force Materials to MSL programmes, from Posters to Brand Messaging – you get to do it all.
So how is this Senior Medical Education Writer job different ?
Many medical writers spend a chunk of their time managing other writers, chasing a KOL for their comments on a Slide Deck, or responding to a Brand Manager about deadlines.
At this agency you have a Programme Manager to take care of all this non-writing work.. Therefore you get to focus on what you do best which is, of course, writing content which helps healthcare professionals make the best treatment decision for their patients. Of course, you’ll critique KOL content and engage with the KOL regarding the scientific narrative; however you will not waste your time with non-scientific or non-editorial tasks.
This is an agency with a double decade heritage :
With a 20 year history of working with the medical and marketing teams at UK and Global Pharma the directors of the agency know a thing or 20 about what makes a medical education programme valuable to a clinician. In fact the agency has won awards for its innovative approach to digital / broadcast advisory boards and congress.
Moreover the agency is respected for its collaborative work with healthcare professionals, which means you’ll get to create copy for programmes which take account of clinical practice and prescribing behaviour.
The agency works with Medical Teams and Brand Teams because good medical communications needs scientific education as well as brand education. Therefore as a Medical Writer you’ll benefit from contributing to integrated communication plans – medical & brand, digital & live.
Moreover because of the long term relationship the agency holds with its clients you will experience the communication programme at different stages of its life cycle. This means therefore that you get presented with on-going fresh challenges such as revising materials when new clinical evidence emerges.
The Team :
The agency has around 50 staff. You’ll join the editorial team which is made up of circa. 20 medical writers and editors. On a day to day basis you’ll report to the Editorial Team Leader. This means you’ll be part of a medium sized agency and as such you’ll get to enjoy a friendly and supportive culture. The directors work with you to develop a career plan which means you benefit from a commitment to your career progression and skills development.
The office is located in beautiful countryside in Buckinghamshire. To help build good working relationships the directors prefer that you come to the office at least 2 days a week. The office is an easy commute by tube, or overground train. There is also free car parking available close to the office.
