Your Responsibilities : Senior Medical Communications Writer
You will put pencil to paper, fingertips to keyboard, and thinking cap to head, in order to deliver copy which engages, educates, influences, and motivates.
The audience is a wonderful mix of the great & good – from HealthCare Professionals, to Medical Sales Liaison teams, to Patients, and Payers.
As you may have guessed the therapy areas run from A to Z.
The deliverables for which you will write scientific and commercial editorial are equally varied – from manuscripts to sales aids.
You will lead on projects, and thereby you get to understand how to action the client’s strategic goals by delivery of the medical communications plans.
In other words you will contribute to the development of the scientific narrative.
Furthermore, you attend meetings with clients, as well as site visits. This activity not only allows you to truly develop your understanding of the client’s scientific and commercial goals, it also facilitates the creation of a trusted relationship with the client’s medical affairs, and brand teams – because after-all we need to see as well hear each other in order to build a partnership of trust – albeit in person or via our screens.
Moreover you will take a lead role in the reviewing the work of associate medical writers.
You will help ensure that copy is scientifically sound, meets brand objectives, and complies with pharmaceutical marketing and/or publications guidelines.
Further because you are a senior member of the content team you have the chance to share your knowledge by mentoring other medical writers.

Currently the entire scientific content team works remotely. However as the UK eases out of lockdown, and we begin to return to offices, you’ll have the opportunity to work from the company’s offices in Central London all the time, some of the time, or you may choose to stay working remotely.

Senior Medical Communications Writer. The Application Criteria.
- At least 2 years of experience of working as a Medical Writer
- Experience of working within a Medical Communication Agency experience or experience of working at a pharmaceutical company in Medical Affairs, Medical Information, or Marketing
- Higher level life science education such as MSc or PhD
