Join the science news desk working alongside a team of journalists and news editors at a top B2B publication. As a journalist on the science desk you’ll research and write breaking news stories for a daily online news bulletin. In addition you’ll write longer form news articles as well as features for the publication’s website as well as for print publications. As a journalist you’ll identify and maintain contacts across the scientific industries, including with PR professionals. You will also attend and report from international events such as trade fairs, scientific congresses, and award ceremonies.

Journalist : Key candidate criteria

  • Experience of generating, researching, & writing news stories
  • Ability to interview a wide section of people – from scientists through to CEOs
  • NCTJ accreditation or similar level of journalist qualification
  • Working knowledge of media law, for example copyright and libel laws
