Editorial Assistant – Medical Education

As a member of the editorial team you make sure that clinical data is accurately presented, and further you ensure referencing of scientific data is correct.  You will also check the progress of documents  via pharmaceutical marketing Compliance Management software. Moreover you shall ensure that copy is consistent in terms of style and also make sure copy is free of typos and grammatical errors.

The employer is a Medical Education Agency creating communication programmes which educate healthcare professionals about pharmaceutical research & treatments; this therefore means doctors are aware of the latest and best treatments for their patients. 

The content which you will proofread and edit includes the following : 

  • PowerPoint slide decks used for presentations delivered to Doctors & Nurses
  • Digital learning content for eLearning programmes, including animations
  • Agendas and papers for meetings of specialist Medical Advisory boards
  • Briefing papers for speakers at medical congress
  • Promotional material to advertise events to healthcare professionals
  • Reports which communicate the opinion of health care professionals regarding treatments

Candidate Criteria : Editorial Assistant – Medical Education

  • Knowledge of how scientific content referencing styles, for example Harvard, Vancouver, APA, MLA, Chicago
  • Experience in using content management compliance software for life sciences, such as Veeva Vault or Zinc.
  • Familiarity with proofreading and editing of medical & clinical data, including ability to comprehend graphs, and tables.
  • Highly confident in the use of PowerPoint
