A healthcare publisher is launching a Clinical Education publication, and therefore an opportunity for a Clinical Editor is available.
The online publication will provide Secondary Healthcare Professionals with medical education content.
As well as content, written by clinical leaders, the online resource will provide space for multi-disciplinary engagement via online communities.
As Clinical Editor you get to commission content, edit copy, build communities of clinical specialists, host webinars, and create podcasts.
Working alongside other Clinical Editors you will take editorial responsibility for a several clinical areas, and as such you will lead the content development for 2 or more clinical specialisms.
Responsibilities of Clinical Editor
You’ll lead on activities such as hosting webinars, creating podcasts, engaging with Clinical Leads about content ideas, and building online communities.
Further, you’ll liaise with the editorial board faculty in order to discuss clinical learning content ideas.
You’ll also commission articles from a range of clinical subject specialists.
- Editorial experience gained within a Scientific, Technical, or Medical (STM) publishing
- Experience of liaising with an Editorial board
- Experience of commissioning copy from subject matter specialists
- Ability to edit content which has been written by specialists
- Understanding of how to create content in order to drive online community engagement
Salary & Benefits :
- Annual Salary is £38,000
- 25 days holiday, which increases by a day for each year of service, up to 30 days

Location & Working Pattern for Clinical Editor :
The healthcare publishing team is located in London.
You have the option of hybrid working which therefore means you have the chance to split your working week between working from home and working in the office.
And, as live events begin to happen once again, you’ll get to travel a few times a year to medical conferences in order to meet with contributors, and get to know more about your readership of Secondary Healthcare Professionals.
