Associate Scientific Director

Joining a team of 40 Medical Education specialists as Associate Scientific Director you will direct the scientific narrative of Medical Education projects which includes taking responsibility for creating the Scientific Communication Platform.

As well as the big hitters such as Oncology you will also lead on niche areas such as Rare Diseases. Furthermore you’ll have the opportunity to lead the scientific narrative on projects in Consumer Healthcare & Medical Devices. Therefore this is an Associate Scientific Director role which gives you a lovely varied mix because after all, variety is the spice of life.

You will report to the Scientific Director which therefore means you will contribute to key strategic decisions – such a new business proposals. As well as leading on scientific strategy you will be a trusted mentor and line manager for Medical Writers.

Salary, Benefits & Location

• Salary is up to £80,000 per annum
• The agency will contribute up to 3% of your salary toward a Pension
• You can choose to work from anywhere in the UK – the office is in the heart of London and therefore if you do want to come in to the office you’ll enjoy an easy commute
• It’s a flexible hours culture with a 7.5 hour working day
• You’ll have plenty of down-time with 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays

Candidate Criteria for Associate Scientific Director

• You will have attained the level of Senior or Principal Medical Writer within a Medical Education Agency and have acquired the experience of contributing to the creation of Scientific Communication Platforms
• Because you will be directing the scientific content across a range of Medical Education accounts you will need to have gained experience of reviewing scientific content and elevating the scientific outputs
