Account Director Oncology – Responsibilities :
As Account Director in the Oncology team you manage delivery of a wide range of medical communications activity for various Oncology products, including blockbuster drugs, across several Indications.
You shall provide your pharmaceutical company clients with strategic input regarding medical communications activities such as :
- publications planning
- medical education projects
- commercial medical communications activity.
You interact with world leading scientists and oncologists as regards critical treatment and clinical issues in the oncology area.
As a senior member of the Client Services team you will be a key point of contact to your pharmaceutical company client ensuring regular communications regarding project status.
It is your responsibility, as Account Director, to make certain that budgets are maintained and that accounts run profitability.
Further you will look to opportunities for maximising profit by enhancing existing business and identifying new business. As Account Director you will attend new business pitches and prepare pitch proposals.
Account Director Oncology – Candidate Criteria :
- Client services experience in a medical communications agency
- Knowledge of therapeutic and scientific issues relevant to oncology drug development
- Proven track record of exceptional staff, project and client management
- Experienced in developing strategic communication plans and programmes
- Good financial understanding and experience with budgeting
- A flair for working well within a team with strong written and verbal communication skills
- BSc in life sciences
