You will join the Medical Affairs team, at this independent healthcare communications agency.
The team deliver brand strategy, healthcare marketing, and medical communications solutions, for a major global pharmaceutical company account.
Working as Freelance Medical Communications Director you will oversee the day to day running of the account. You will have responsibility for developing client communications strategy and take the lead in pitching ideas to clients. Moreover, and importantly, you’ll have a head for the financials whereby you’ll ensure the profitable running of accounts. Further, as a senior member of the Client Services team, you’ll take on the role of providing mentorship and day to day management of the junior client services team (a team of 3).
Because this is a high value global medical communications account you have the chance to collaborate with colleagues working in the agency’s overseas locations. This therefore gives you an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and to learn from other markets.
The position is available as a Freelance job in order to provide cover while a search takes place for a permanent member of staff to join as Account Director.
Location of Job :
This is a remote based position supporting the London team and therefore while you can be located anywhere it is important that you are available for core UK working hours of 10.00 to 16.00.
About the Agency :
The agency develops a wide range of brand and healthcare communications activities to include :
- Developing the Scientific Platform.
- Creating materials for a product launch.
- Delivering disease awareness programmes.
- Crafting engaging internal communications such as MSL training packs.
- Content for digital meetings and ELearning.
Supported by an in-house team of medical writers, and design creatives you will make certain that these deliverables are delivered for your client. In position of Freelance Medical Communications Director you shall also prepare financial forecasts and moreover ensure the profitable running of the account.
Skills & Experience needed :
- Expertise in client services, gained within a Healthcare Communications Agency.
- Experience of working at level of Senior Account Manager or above.
- Ability to forecast account profitability because this is a crucial aspect of your responsibility.
