Importing Art to the UK. Exporting Art from the UK.

Arrange Sea Freight and Air Freight. Ensure compliance with Customs laws and regulations. 

Our client is a highly prestigious global arts transport business servicing leading global institutions such as public museums & galleries, commercial art galleries, ultra high net worth private collectors, corporate art collections, auction houses, royal collections, art fairs, national & local governments.
Works transported range from highly significant public art installations through to a single valuable work of art.

Operating globally you will experience a huge variety of culturally significant and valuable shipping coordination challenges.
Meeting tight deadlines and proving top tier client service levels will be second nature to you.

Key Candidate Criteria :

  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 3 years experience working in Import & Export logistics
    • Some experience working with a Freight Forwarding company 
    • Experience of liaising with HMRC
  • Knowledge :
    • Knowledge of Customs Processes relating to Air Freight
    • Aviation Security relevant to a Regulated Cargo Agent knowledge 
  • Software Skills :
    • Experience of ASM Sequoia or similar Customs Clearance Platform
    • CHIEF (Customs Handling of Import & Export Freight) system experience
  • Legal requirements :
    • You must hold the right to work in the UK without time restriction (sponsorship is not possible)
  • Languages required :
    • High standard of written and spoken English

Key day to day tasks :

  • Prepare Export & Import documentations
  • Input Custom Entries to Sequoia customs clearance platform
  • Negotiate  shipping rates
  • Research and advise of air transport options and rates

This is a new role in the shipping team which is available due an increase in business.

You will join a committed team of art transport, art storage and art installation experts.

Location : Stunning Canary Wharf offices (London E14) 

Contract : This is Permanent Job.

Start date : Candidates with a notice period of one month or less will be considered.
